Senior Technology Advisor

Shyam Pullela serves as a Senior Technology Advisor with Lodestone Advisory Group, bringing 25+ years of experience in leading engineering teams and delivering multi-billion-dollar revenue products. Shyam supports Lodestone with strategic programs for clients both internationally and domestically. He brings substantial expertise in the areas of engineering leadership and design, including project, process, product, and people management.

Shyam is also Vice President - Products & Engineering at Extreme Networks as Head of Cloud Networking Group. Shyam has very versatile experience in delivering several technologies ranging all they from Cloud SW, Applications, Embedded Systems to HW platforms and ASICs. 

Prior to joining Extreme, Shyam gained extensive engineering leadership experience in world renowned companies like EMC, Cisco Systems and Hewlett-Packard, to name a few. Being a technology leader, Shyam’s expertise straddles the boundary of designing and developing cutting edge products and defining business and go-to-market strategy to deliver tangible financial results to the company. His notable achievements include founding IoT/Smart Grid business unit in Cisco and taking the revenues from zero to $380M in four years, and complete restructuring and revamp of Aerohive Networks engineering team and the processes that increased the productivity by 3x resulting in acquisition by Extreme Networks.

Shyam is the author of several publications and has presented globally in industry leading conferences on technology. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s General Management Program. He also holds a certification in 'Advanced Project Management' from Stanford University, two Masters' degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Indiana University and the Indian Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors' degree from the National Institute of Technology in India. Shyam has also recently completed several courses on “Big Data” and “Machine Learning”.

During his free time, Shyam enjoys being a feature editor in an online magazine in Telugu, his mother tongue, with more than 100,000 subscribers. He also writes poetry and has been invited to recite his work in several poets’ conventions. In addition, Shyam also has level-2 hang gliding pilot license, though his work commitments prevent him for flying as frequently as he would like to.
